Visualizing Plan Flow
As one OSR said, “Basically, I just hand my plan to you, turn around and a few
days later and it’s done!”
That’s the idea. But, here’s our process broken down into six steps so you can
see what happens.
Just MOUSEOVER the numbered steps to follow the flow.

 |
The Outside Sales Rep delivers the plans to Precision Estimating via
shipment, FTP site or Email. If you send in a plan electronically we can accept
all major file types (i.e. PDF, TIFF, DWF, etc).
|
 |
Precision makes an electronic copy of the plans and ships the hard copy
back the same day it arrives. The original hard copy of the plan will arrive in
your office before the Take-Off or EWP Layout.
|
 |
Precision reviews the plan for missing pages, The EWP Spec Sheet form, PO, etc.,
to make sure we have all the information we need to process the plan. We then
send you one of two emails: a Confirmation Email that the job has been received
and is scheduled to process OR an On Hold Email to let you know that we cannot
process your plan without further information.
|
 |
If the project requires both an EWP Layout and a Take-Off, then the EWP
Team and Take-Off Team process the plan at the same time.
The EWP Team finishes first so that the Take-Off Team can compare the EWP Layout
to the Take-Off to ensure there is not any dual called or omitted material (i.e.
EWP garage header, roof beams, posts, etc) . After this review, the Take-Off
Team will incorporate the material from the EWP Layout into the Take-Off.
|
 |
Precision will send you a Completion Email immediately upon completing
the job. Attached to this email will be all files for the job (i.e. Take-Off,
EWP Layouts, etc). The body of the email will contain all Plan Flow Notes as
well as the web link to the Tracking Page for this job.
|
 |
You get your job back When You Need It. Choose the completion date for the
job and we will complete the job on or before the due date. This allows you to
schedule your bid presentation to the builder at the beginning of the process
vs. the end.

Understanding the Integration Process
To be successful, we need to know what you want, and you need to know what you are going to get back. We do this through the integration process which is illustrated below.
Single-Family - Getting Started
For Single-Family, contact us to begin the Integration Process. This process is essential to enable us to consistently serve you well. Through process, we’ll capture
your defaults, create your user accounts and ftp access, etc. It’s a one time deal, and when it’s done we hit the ground running!
Multi Family - Getting Started
With Multi-Family, the formal integration meeting is not necessary. We facilitate a modified integration process on each Multi-Family job, so just send us the blue prints and we’ll call you to discuss the project details.
